In this renovation of a 265-year-old home, Terrat Elms Interior Design sought to refresh a beautiful space with transitional finishes. The historic sunroom was restored, including new glass, steel, and an upgrade to existing heating systems. These upgrades allow the space to be used year round without compromising its historic charm. This room was awarded “Best of Boston Home 2015: Conservatory” for its excellence in design and execution. The kitchen was renovated to provide the family with a luxurious, yet comfortable living space. New Venetian plaster walls were added to the existing “oval” office, and new HVAC systems were installed throughout the house for improved operation throughout the year. All systems were updated to improve the efficiency of the home, regardless of the season.

Terrat Elms completely updated the interior throughout the house, adding contemporary pieces to this classic, Brookline estate home.  The home was featured on the cover of Interiors Magazine shortly after completion.
