A group of homeowners on one floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel had recently renovated their units to feel modern and fresh, and desired a lobby on their floor to match. The new lobby not only embraces the design styled off the units on that floor, but also provides an excellent space to display the homeowners’ art collection.  This renovation took place while all units on the floor were occupied and required close coordination with homeowners and building staff over the 3-month construction period.

Walls were reconstructed with an unpainted exposed plaster finish and new recessed and track lighting was installed throughout. The standard signage on this floor was replaced with custom backlit acrylic floor directories and unit numbers. Additionally, both the existing carpet and elevator surround were updated to match the style of the lobby.
